Moth orchids outdoors in FL heat (even under a tarp) is pure plant abuse. 😔💔 Should I keep them & attempt to rehabilitate or just set them free?

    You can totally rehabilitate them, but you absolutely need to get them out of the sun. Orchids need indirect light- sometimes called bright shade. I already see some pretty bad burns on one.

      I know. They look terrible! 😭 If you think I can save them I’ll give it a shot. Just gotta find new homes for them inside.

      To give them their best chance to thrive again, they will definitely need a repot- I’d also cut any flower spikes you currently have down to the base of the plant. They just suck energy from your orchid, and these guys are already struggling. Also be aware, your current care routine may change with the m change in environment- for example, you may not need to water as frequently indoors without the crushing heat.
