I think my orchid has crown rot (no idea how it got it I only bottom water and all my other orchids are healthy and thriving) do you guys think it’s crown rot and what should I do her leaves keep falling off :(

    It looks like it might be crown rot or might be mechanical damage. To treat it: cinnamon can help keep the crown dry, and hydrogen peroxide can disinfect it. You can also repot. Remove any damaged roots and replace the sphagnum with orchid bark. The sphagnum could be a possible cause of the rot because it tends to stay too wet for orchids. Crown rot is hard to recover from, so it may die even if you give it the best possible chance

    I think it’s crown rot based on the photos, but it’s a little hard to tell. The white fluff in the crown (last image), i cannot tell if that is mold or mealies. If it is crown rot, that is a tough one to recover from. Best case would be the plant survives long enough to produce a keiki. You will need to remove any necrotic tissue to stop the infection from spreading. If the plant stabilizes and produces a keiki, you can separate it from the mother plant once the keiki has about 2” of leaves and 2” of roots. The mother plant will not produce any more leaves or flowers. Luckily the keiki is a clone of the mother so in time you should see flowers again. If it’s mealie bugs, I would treat with rubbing alcohol. Kills them on contact. You can apply with a cotton swab, concentrating on the crevices. You will probably need to do several applications. I like to do it weekly.
