I was transferring my or“kids” to a hanging plant instead of a potted plant. And I noticed my tiny orchid had a new leaf growing. 😆🥹😆 I had to repot her (due to aphids) while she was blooming and I lost all the blooms. She has been my problem child. And I wanted to share this with y’all because y’all understand how big of a deal this is. And on a side note. I wanted to share a pic of the reason why I am making my plants able to hang in the window. His name is Leo he is a sassy, sphynx rescue. He keeps knocking off my orchids and made one of my orchids leaves droop (on the larger orchid) and one of my other plants is now in my plant icu because he broke the pot that is was in and it cut the plant. But he is also my baby boy and adored by almost all who meet him. Any ways! Sorry for the long post! Here’s a cookie! 🍪

Very cute new leaf! Congrats! Are you planning on potting that orchid and then hanging the pot? Or… are you trying to grow a phalaenopsis bare rooted?

Bare rooted. I saw it in a local orchid shop. I fell in love with the idea of the hanging roots.

I guess it’s possible, but I have only ever saw Vanda orchids grown like that- not Phals. Will you spray the roots daily? Keep us posted, I’d love an update on how it’s doing.

Leo’s adorable! 🥰 Sphynx are known for being energetic. If you haven’t already, I would suggest making sure he has better option like cat grass to munch on. That helped with my cats.

Oh. He doesn’t munch. He will THROW my orchids off of the table.
