hiiii, i’m a newer plant owner and i just got this gorgeous orchid plant as a gift. what should i know with raising this beauty? i noticed the pot it’s in does not have drainage holes, will that be an issue? should i repot? please tell me everything i need to know so i can help this plant thrive 💞

Gorgeous! I would wait to repot until the blooms fall off. Looks like 2 plants in there. Are the potted directly in the white pot or are they in plastic pots within? That is usually how I see orchids sold. If so, those inner pots may have drainage holes so you can remove the plant to water it.

3개 좋아요All good advice so far. Wait to repot until after the flowers die (otherwise they’ll die prematurely). Repot with drainage. The best substrate to use also depends on your location and what your typical humidity is; I’ve heard many people say that the sphagnum moss it often comes in will retain too much water. When repotting, make sure to trim dead roots (squishy/papery; you can soak them in water to make it more obvious). Also, it looks like there are 2 plants in that pot!
