hi iām new to having an orchid and i want to do my best to take care of her. Any advice on trying to save her? Iāve been soaking her in water for 24 hrs and then letting her dry for 24hours but the roots still look silver. I have orchid bark should i pot her? lmk!
The roots look great! They could be better but they are plump and greenish. Put her in a small pot because they like to feel snug. Use orchid bark. If the pot has holes on the side thatās even better. You could take a plastic pot and put holes in the sides if you are desperate. Water regularly and at this time of year give her 20-10-20 fertilizer monthly. Depending on how dry it is where you live, water 1-2 x weekly. Thereās no need to soak. Just keep checking on her roots. What you are aiming for are plump green roots. You can overwater so let them dry between waterings. Good luck!
