Just repotted my orchid. Initially it was drowning in the last pot with no drainage (I had no idea). Bought proper orchid mix and a pot with lots of holes. It’s now looking worse and I don’t know if it’s under or over watered or if there’s something I’m missing. Please help!

The flower stem is supposed to dry out and die off- no plant blooms forever. Consider the tulip… it blooms in the spring, the flower dies, but the plant is still alive and we will bloom again next year. You can cut your flower spike down to the base of the stem. With proper care, it will grow new leaves and roots, and eventually (probably after a cool down in the fall/winter) she’ll grow a new flower spike. Every once in a while a lower leaf will yellow and fall off on their own- it’s generally nothing to worry about unless you notice more and more dying off, or any kind of rot/infection happening on the stem.

Cut off those spikes! The leaves on top look pretty plump and healthy! The bottom leaves will naturally wilt and die - you can cut those off when they die to reserve nutrient for the rest of the orchid. They tend to like to be dry, but watch the leaves and roots (if you can see them). The leaves will indicate when the plant is thirsty as it will start to shrink and be kind of squishy. Good luck!

I changed my orchid to a water plant and it’s been thriving ever since just wash off the roots cut off any squishy ones grab a small jar use Luke warm purified water once every 4-5 days. Only put the roots in water never past the crown
