Help! I have purchased so many orchids and they always die. I’m trying to keep this one alive. It’s currently under a grow light. Somebody guide me

    The problem usually occurs at the roots. The way orchids are grown, there is often a chunk of foam or moss around the base of the plant, but in an adult plant this will eventually smother it and cause rot. Orchids grow in trees, not soil, they do not like anything smothering any part of them. They like to grow in something like bark chunks, which will hold humidity near the roots, but allow air to reach everything. If you have it in the original pot, you should repot it very soon.

    I agree they generally die from rot. The foam plugs or peat moss causing root rot. And watering from the top causing crown rot. Or people using ice to water.
