Sinister Biscuits
I’m wondering if I need to do more for my orchid. I trimmed her down right above a node after all her blooms fell off. She has a new leaf but I’m concerned because the stalk doesn’t seem to be growing. Any tips here?

Orchids do not flower 100% of the time. Its natural for the spike to drop it’s flowers, and then die back. Cutting it off does not hurt your plant. It will grow a new flower spike when it’s ready. The new leaf growth is a sign it’s totally healthy and putting its energy into other areas at the moment. As to how long till a new spike grows….this can vary greatly. As long as your plant is healthy it’s just a waiting game to some extent. Light and temp will make a difference, but these are quite hardy plants and can be okay in a range of conditions.
