My moth orchid blooms are starting to droop. I’ve had her for 3 weeks, is it just time to lose the blooms and start over? And if so, when should I expect new blooms? I’m a novice at plants and with the chunky orchid mix, I can’t check for watering issues like my other plants.
This is normal, when the blooms are all gone if the stem starts to brown and die cut it off

0 Likes So you can see the top is a used nod and the bottom isn’t, when this is done blooming I’m cutting between at my finger
If it’s time, it’s time. Just let them fall off, don’t cut off the stalk until it’s dried out. As for watering, people often use clear pots so they can see the roots, but if the plant looks healthy (leaves not droopy or yellow) you’re probably doing fine! For new blooms…you never know. If it gets the right light, watering and humidity, it could be a few months…or could be next winter. If you find a place it seems happy and blooms, don’t move it!

Agree with what the other commenters have already said, but just wanted to add that Tanner the Planer and Plants with Krystal both have phenomenal orchid care videos on YouTube; following their advice is what helped me get mine to finally bloom again!
