I went to a fabulous orchid show today! Iāve been interested in learning more about orchids, since most of my knowledge and collection is in the aroids group. I got my first unusual orchid! Itās a Dendrobium cucumerinum, or as Iām already affectionately calling it: my pickle orchid šš„°š
Did you go to the one in Lynwood? I want to check it out tomorrow

Cuuuuute!! I never knew there were different types of orchid like this! Will it flower eventually?
1 gilla Yeah! I never would have known either, but a while ago I found a greenhouse I hadnāt been that has a rare orchid section. The micro orchids captured my heart āŗļø At the show, I was able to ask one of the club members recommendations for someone who hasnāt kept orchids yet. He showed me several different ones and pictures of past flowers too! It was so awesome to be able to talk to an expert. These ones will have off-white flowers with little red striped š¤©
