Ever since I got this dendrobium Blue Siam (last summer I think) a leaf, or even a couple, will do this now and again. I think it’s natural because it doesn’t spread and it seems to be growing just fine otherwise, but it freaks me out and makes me wonder if it’s not happy. That leaf is the only leaf on an old cane, so pretty sure it’s NBD, but a little reassurance would make me happy!
I’m not familiar with the variety so take this with a grain of salt. It looks like a nobile to me. They tend to loose leaves on the old canes. This is totally normal. Keep the canes even after they shed all the leaves. They hold resource the plant will continue to draw from. By the by, it freaks me out every time it happens.
2件のいいねI would second Pi’s thoughts, but I don’t have experience with this hybrid either, so I am just basing it on prior experience with other orchids and what you’ve said about the overall health of this plant.
