This plant was a gift. It came in a pot with another orchis and there were no drainage holes. I knew immediately I would need to save these plants. The root rot was so bad the I lost the other orchis and have had to cut the roots back 3 times on this one. I’ve had it since Thanksgiving and am hoping this “humid tank” helps. Anyone had success with this method? It was sooooo pretty before with 2 spikes and big flowers.
I’ve never used this method. I would just put some sphagnum moss around the roots and give it good cycles of moisture and then letting them dry. It’s really just a matter of patience and time at this point, for it to grow new roots

I’ve also never used the humid tank method either, but the good news here is that the leaves look good, the crown looks good, and there appears to be some healthy roots budding. I would just plant it in an orchid mix (I use one that’s sphagnum moss, bark, and pumice stone) and when I water I soak them in lukewarm water for 20-45 mins. I agree it’s a waiting game for new root growth. You could also try a humidity tray for increased humidity
