Hi! I’ve had this orchid for 2 weeks and it was doing great, with a new flower opening every couple of days. Now one of the new flowers has started to wilt and today the second flower from the bottom is starting to close in on itself which is how the wilting started originally for the first flower. I thought I was maybe underwatering it so I watered it some more yesterday. Is this because of underwatering? And Is the plant still salvageable? Or will all the flowers start to wilt? Thank you!!

Flowers wilting is completely normal!! Just make sure the leaves are hard and sturdy and you have a healthy plant! :D

Oh perfect, thank you! Should I just let the flowers fall of themselves or prune them?

I leave them unless they look terribly crispy and dried. Then I pluck them off.

Flowers will fade and drop eventually, but typically it starts with the ones lowest on the inflorescence (they were the first to open). My guess is the plant is reacting to its new environment so probably nothing to worry too much about as long as the plant is healthy.

It happened to me from underwatering, but also I had it in a very low light location. I have it now in a window that faces north and I don’t now how is your pot but I have them in the nursery pot waiting for the flowers go so I can repot in a wood container and I’ve taken them out of the “decorative” container so the roots also get light, and since I did that I see a new leave coming
