Has anyone had luck with their orchid reblooming after cutting the stem all the way back? Mine died before I could cut it off between an open and closed node. She’s put out a brand new leaf and overall looks happy but she’s been like this for awhile and am just wondering how long it takes for them to show any signs of reblooming. Thanks!
Phals typically bloom on an annual cycle. So if you give it plenty of light you should see blooms again next year. I like to trim spent inflorescences back to the base of the plant and have not encountered any issues. There are a lot of growers how like to keep them on the plant. I think unless you are trying to enter shoes, it’s a matter of personal preference.

I have mine in only water and it has stayed bloomed for months now

Yes. Water as usual, good filtered sun, and fertilize in the spring. You should see a new spike not long after.
Most of these bloom annually, but if the plant is especially happy and conditions are ideal, it's possible to get a rebloom after 3 months. If you keep it healthy and it doesn't rebloom in a year, it's likely a temperature issue; these like to have about a 10°F variation from day to night. For most houses, they'll get that naturally in winter if they're in a spot near a window
3 Me gustaI cut mine after every bloom cycle, all the way to the base. Except for a couple of exceedingly stubborn ones, yes, they all create a new spike regularly.

I got my phal in feb 2024 as a gift and the flowers dropped shortly after in early march. I cut one spike all the way down and left the other with two nodes on it. It grew a few new leaves but then didn’t do much for months. Just this month it started putting out a new spike and there is new growth coming out of the top node on the existing spike. Ive been watering it normally and lightly fertilizing every time I water. The recent temperature drop that happened where I live helped as well. It really is all about patience and letting the plant go through its cycle. I thought I was never gonna see it flower again. You got this!
