Hello, my orchid was given to me and it's got very healthy leaves and a long branch the tip was brown so I trimmed it down to a couple of the bulbs that stick out was that the right thing to do? If not what should I do for it to start growing Flowers?

If the spike had been green, you could cut back to about a 1/2 inch above a growth node and you might get a secondary blooming. Once the flower spike starts to brown, it will probably continue to dry out. If I were you, I’d cut the whole thing down to the base. It allows the plant to focus its energy on root and leaf growth, and with proper care, it’ll give you a fresh flower spike eventually.
