She sad, what do I do? She was doing so well! This is my first orchid, only a little over a month of care. I planned on using a larger pot. I also have her at my desk at work.

She’s just reaching the end of her bloom cycle and looks really healthy! The spike is turning brown so if the flowers easily break off, go ahead and trim it all the way down so she can focus on growing a roots, leaves, a new spike and eventually some buds! I would also recommend repotting in orchid bark in a clear pot that sits in a decorative pot. When it’s time to water, put the clear pot in a bowl of lukewarm water to soak for 5-10 minutes, let it drain for 10 minutes, then return it to the decorative pot. Make sure the water doesn’t go past the top of the pot. It might be best to look online for orchid bark mix that uses smaller wood chips: they’re easier to get into all the roots and stay secure.
