What is this sproutlet thing coming out of the crown?? Is it a root or new flower spike even though I already have a flower spike.

    Looks like a root to me but it is a bit odd-looking 🤣

    Looks like a root tip to me too. PS- little orchid vocab for you- the ‘crown’ is on the top of the plant, your funky little root tip is coming off the ‘stem’. If it was coming out of the crown it would mean trouble and an end to your orchid. When a flower spike comes out of the crown, they call it a terminal spike because your orchid will no longer be able to grow new leaves from the crown. I know, tomaaaato/tomaaahhhto but I was looking for something coming out of the top. 🤷🏻‍♀️
