I’m not the most experienced with orchids, but I would recommend letting the flowers drop first, since it seems to still have many healthy roots. If you’re super worried or the leaves get worse, you could cut the flowers off.

As long as the leaves are not showing any sign of dehydration, you don’t see any pests or mold in the pot, then you can wait until after your blooms fall. Touch back when you’re ready to repot though- this group has very solid advice for beginners that will save you from making some of the mistakes we made our first times round.

Potentially. Can you just remove that strand or two from the sphagnum ball? Any other spots? Does the whole pot smell kind of funky, like dank or mildewy?

I removed several spots already and just saw another one today…

Chances are you just need a better ventilated pot and let your medium dry well between waterings. But if you have mold spores in the medium, you’ll keep seeing those spots appear. Again, if it gets out of hand, you CAN repot now, but it will potentially shock your plant into dropping its blooms prematurely. If the mold is posing a big risk to the health of your plant, repot. If the orchid seems to be doing fine and the media isn’t stinky or getting completely over run with those spots, it should be fine for the few weeks you may still have with your flowers.

I’m ready to repot my orchid, and I’m a newbie to orchids. I’ve posted two pics of the dead stems on my orchid a few posts ago; take a look, please. Any helpful comments? TIA. Regards, 🤗💚🪴
