Plant lover 2000The way i get any seeds to germinate is i wet a paper towel and squeeze most of the water out. Like up the seeds and place them in a ziplock bag and let them sit on a dresser till i see them grow than i put them into pots... works with everything ive ever tried to grow

SaOrchid seeds are different from regular seeds. They do not have an endosperm, which is the part that gives the seed enough energy to sprout. Instead, they rely on fungi to help them germinate. You can simulate this yourself, but I’ve heard it’s rather difficult to do and you would have to look it up to find out the exact steps.

MeasomerPiStaring orchids from seed is a radically different process from the norm. It involves sterile environments, nutrient solutions such as agar and sealable containers. Germination can take months. Periodically seedlings will need to deflasked and reflasked in larger containers. Seedlings can be removed from the flask and planted in typical media around the 2 year mark (I’m going from memory so could be wrong). The YouTube channel Here… But Not has some process tutorials. RedskidAlso, my understanding is that unless you got them from a reputable selling/grower and they came in the seed pod, you probably got duped and they aren't real orchid seeds. Found that out when I did research before buying seeds of my own.
