I got this orchid on sale, took out cleaned out the roots and repotted in orchid bark. What do you guys think?

    1- what a great price!!! 2- That’s a cool option for a clear pot, but I would worry a little bit about there being not enough drainage. You may find that they require more air flow to their roots- but if you’re cautious with watering it might be ok. 3- sometimes the shock of repotting can cause an orchid to drop its blooms and buds. So don’t panic if that’s your experience.

      Cool! I was imagining that the darkness I was seeing in there was bark, I didn’t realize it was an insert.

    It looks good. But a rescue orchid may not be at its best the 1st year you have it. This will be due to shock of how shops look after then, the proper after care you give it, it’s all shock. But you wait until next year! If the flowers drop early, that just means it will recover, start storing up loads of essential energy to throw at blooming next year. I like a reduce plant, my local shop do the at £3 each. But next year, when it’s recovered & stored up energy, it will be worth more than the shops sell them for! Great work!!!
