Having a really rough week, so this Lovely popping its 3 buds feels like the little bit of orchid therapy I needed. For years it has reliably had a fun scent- but only at night- that I can only describe as lemon Pledge, the commercial wood cleaning product.

Beautiful flower! If it has a scent at night, I wonder if it had a nighttime pollinator in the wild, like a moth? I’m sorry to hear about your rough week.

1 LikeSide note- I’ve also read that most orchids who have evolved to attract night time pollinators, tend to be white/super light yellow or green.
