This ground orchid has some yellow leaves. When I check the app, it could be anything, too much sun, too little sun, too much water, too little water… etc. I just received him last week and I want the poor guy to at least recover from being shipped here. Any thoughts to help him adjust?
Not as familiar with this type of “ground orchid” as I am with terrestrials like paphs and phrags. But you can get some hints on what might be wrong with most orchids, just need more info. What media is it potted in? How do the roots look? Does this seem to be an older growth that the plant is just sapping energy from because it’s a little stressed from transport/ acclimating to your environment? Is there any rotting to the growth with the yellow leaves? Is that one dark or mushy at all to the touch, or is it firm like the others?
2개 좋아요 Thank you! I ended up repotting him and I found his roots had quite a bit of soil on them. I used bark and styrofoam like I do with my other orchids and I placed him in my plant ICU for close monitoring. Hopefully this does the trick! Thanks for commenting!

0개 좋아요 I thank you might be right about the transport stress because I got another plant just like him that’s doing the same thing. I cut the yellow leaves off, and I placed him in an open topped aquarium with a grow light. Hopefully, he will start growing.!
