Hiya! First time orchid keeper here, just bought this beauty that was VERY helpfully just called "orchid" on its label đ... Could someone help identify please what type of orchid exactly this is? Is it a moth orchid (there seem to be a few variants)? Welcoming any and all advice as well. Thank you!
Itâs a moth orchid/Phalaenopsis! I highly recommend looking up some orchid care videos by Tanner the Planter and Plants with Krystal on Youtube: theyâre super helpful and give great information!

I got gifted the RHS houseplant guide for xmas with a lot of orchid info featured in it, but sometimes, you can never quite beat word-of-mouth advice from normal people who keep plants. 0 Me gusta I forgot to mention one thing I do that isnât mentioned in their videos is I use MSU fertilizer. I did a lot of unnecessary research into fertilizers for orchids and this seemed like the best bet. I use the Tezula Plants brand but any brand would probably work, just make sure itâs formulated for the type of water you use. My orchid is finally blooming now and I think itâs partly thanks to the fertilizer! However, Plants with Krystal uses an orchid fertilizer by Dyna-Gro thatâs also probably good.
