My orchid grows very long leaves, but is unsuccessful in growing flowers. I water it and fertilize regularly. What can I do to encourage it to grow flowers?

    If you cut that dead stem away, another new one should grow

    You might want to consider upping the light, but honestly, phalaenopsis are one of the only orchid types that sometimes REQUIRE a cool down to instigate new flower spikes. If you lower the temp of the room they are in over night for a couple of weeks, you might be able to initiate new growth.
