I won this orchid at a raffle but it didn’t have a tag on what type of orchid it is. I’ve seen these for sale at grocery stores near me. I think it’s some type of Oncidium. Can someone please tell me what kind of orchid it is and what growing conditions it needs?

좋아요 1개It's in the broader oncidium family for sure (which also includes miltonias, tolumnias, brassias, etc). As for exact genus, it's likely an oncidium or oncostele
2개 좋아요 Thank you. I think it’s an intergeneric complex hybrid, based on one day of internet searches, which means I’m new to this and could be way off base. Maybe of the Odontocidium wildcat legacy. I’m hoping it has similar growing conditions as other easy to care for Oncidium - bright indirect light, intermediate temps and humidity. I haven’t looked at the roots yet but I’m guessing they’re small and thin, so small bark chips and more frequent water intervals might be needed. If folks have other thoughts, please share. Appreciate the community
