One of my phals has had this stunted spike for months now. The overall health of the plant is great: it’s flowering and growing a new leaf, but this little guy just stopped. Any advice? Note: this was when I was fertilizing, she doesn’t sit in water more than a couple minutes lol
It’s very possible that one flower spike is all this plant can handle. Did it emerge at the same time as the one that’s blooming now? I would leave it alone, and see what happens. It may wither off when the blooming one does, or it may spontaneously start up againin the next growing season. I’ll be curious if you see any changes, or what ultimately happens. Keep us posted.
2 Mi piaceI bought this one in November and it still has most of the blooms I bought it with. I can’t remember if the spike was there before or after I thought it home. Since then, it’s pushed out a couple more blooms so you may be right. I’ll leave her be!
