Checked out my orchid’s root situation and I found it all tied to a plug and I had to chop a bunch of rotted roots off. Can I take it out of the plug and how do I repot safely?

    Unfortunately, a lot of orchids come with that plug around the crown of the orchid. You’ve done the hard part to get it out of that plug now let the roots soak up some room, temperature of tea, water, and then plant in a good orchid, medium

    You might want to remove the part of the plug that's in the roots too. Use orchid bark. Soaking the roots for 20 minutes to an hour can help get them more flexible for potting, and a dip in hydrogen peroxide can help treat the rot and prevent new issues. You can use the same pot or downsize slightly.
