My phaelenopsis just lost its last leaf. Is it dead now? The roots are still good. The leaf just came off while I tried to move it (mostly by the leaf).

    Mine’s doing bad too, but I’m not throwing it out until it’s completely brown. Maybe since your roots are still good, they’ll put out a new leaf (but I kinda doubt it). Doesn’t hurt to give it some time and see what happens :)

    I don’t have much hope for it based on what I’m seeing. If it is still alive, there isn’t much left other than the one root to photosynthesize forts for itself. It would need a lot of TLC to help it recover, and even then you are probably looking at several years before you see another bloom. Unless you are very experienced with Phalanopsis, I would suggest wishing bon voyage into the next world and use what you’ve learned on a new orchid.
