Rescued from the trash with no flowers a couple months ago. I stuck a couple ice cubes in it over time and now I have flowers. I guess it’s time to look up how to actually care for it. It has no drainage hole. Should I change the pot?

oooh it’s so pretty! It looks like it’s sitting in an inner pot. Does that one have a drainage hole? If it doesn’t you definitely need to put it in a pot with drainage. Also, ice cubes will shock the orchid. It’s better to water it with warm (but not hot) water.

I agree with the comments above. Especially about the ice cubes. I would definitely repot to a ventilated inner pot. Clear plastic is nice so that you can observe the roots. But I would wait until it’s finished blooming. A repot now can shock the orchid into dropping its blooms.

OH! It also looks like you have a keiki growing from the base of your plant! Congrats! That’s a new baby orchid!
