I just got my first orchid.. it came in this ceramic planter not very big and no drainage holes, there is also this root coming out of the pot. Should I replant it now?

very nice. it appears to be in a clear nursery pot within the planter. it was suggested to me not to repot while you have blooms to mitigate stress. (you can view the post) in the spring, you can repot unless there’s no nursery pot. good luck!!

Thank you!

1 mi piaceI would not. You will (as above have said) lose your blooms, and if its in a clear liner pot then it’s 100% fine. Wait until the blooms fall, cut the spike once its died (that will be obvious) and repot then if its really filled out its plastic pot. If you do start to notice problems, deal with that and if you lose the blooms then so be it. It will regrow you a new one once its healthy again. Better to lose a few flowers then the whole plant :) It looks very happy and healthy right now!
