The flower stalks die off after it’s done flowering. It’s completely normal and healthy. You can just cut the flower stem off close to the leaves if you want.

The stem is no longer green and has turned yellow too. This is normal as well?

Unless it still has flowers on it. Then you should wait.

1 likeCut the entire flower spike all the way down to the leaves of the orchid. It will grow another spike as long as you are giving the plant appropriate light water and fertilizer.
