My moth orchid has this white splotch growing on the leaf recently. I’m not sure if it is a pest issue, but i have separated from the rest of my plants just in case. Any ideas/solutions? :)

Could be sun burn, move further away from direct sunlight. I’m in zone 9B.

Hmm, though it is in a north facing window and gets no direct sunlight at all, and i get low level of light even right on my windowsill most of the time, could it still be sunburn? i will move it back further if so:)

North facing window with no direct sun should be fine. I’m having a hard time seeing the white splotch you’re concerned about. Is it only on one leaf, or several?

this is the white splotch. it currently seems to be the only leaf with a white splotch, however the newest leaf seems to be browning on the underside now too!

Are you talking about the bump on it?

this is the white splotch, i attempted to wipe it off with a lightly damp towel however it remained on the leaf. i also noticed today that the newest leaf is browning all over. i can take a photo of that too when i get home, from memory though, the leaf seemed perfectly fine then starting browning on the underside . any help appreciated🫶

Ooh I thought that was the light hitting the leaf. I see now. I’m sorry I don’t know what that means. It could be a fungus or overwatering. If you can’t find the answer here there are many sites that are helpful for orchid issues.
