My first zygopetalum, the Jumpin Jack variety. Itâs got such a cool pattern on the flowers. I thought people were exaggerating when they said these plants do not have a floral scent, but one more âspicyâ. But these blooms smell EXACTLY like black pepper. Not everyoneâs cup of tea, of course, but what an interesting orchid.
I really like these. They have interesting color combos, and I like the softer foliage. Not as pokey as an oncidium. Just the thing to âspiceâ up any orchid collection. I had one years ago but it didnât appreciate my tender loving care. Iâm trying again with a seedling. It hasnât died so maybe Iâm doing a better job? Thanks for sharing!

1 gilla(Was going to comment on another post out figured Iâd do it on your actually post) Jen whenever I see misted orchid leaves I think of you now. Oh the audacity! We need to send a petition to planta to stop the notifications.
1 gillaI just think spreading that kind of misinformation is going to lead to major disappointment for growers. And itâs SUCH an easy thing to avoid!
