My first zygopetalum, the Jumpin Jack variety. It’s got such a cool pattern on the flowers. I thought people were exaggerating when they said these plants do not have a floral scent, but one more ‘spicy’. But these blooms smell EXACTLY like black pepper. Not everyone’s cup of tea, of course, but what an interesting orchid.
I really like these. They have interesting color combos, and I like the softer foliage. Not as pokey as an oncidium. Just the thing to “spice” up any orchid collection. I had one years ago but it didn’t appreciate my tender loving care. I’m trying again with a seedling. It hasn’t died so maybe I’m doing a better job? Thanks for sharing!

いいね 1件(Was going to comment on another post out figured I’d do it on your actually post) Jen whenever I see misted orchid leaves I think of you now. Oh the audacity! We need to send a petition to planta to stop the notifications.
いいね 1件I just think spreading that kind of misinformation is going to lead to major disappointment for growers. And it’s SUCH an easy thing to avoid!
