I found this on my Angraecum didieri this morning. It’s a lot going on…a new root on the right (it’s knobby thats how I figured that out,) and on the left what looks like a stem growth and an unidentified object with 3 tiny leaves which I can’t tell if it’s part of the stem or not. Does anyone know if my assumptions are correct? I’ve never grown this type of orchid before. 😊

The growth on the left looks like a nice healthy new root. I think the tiny 3 leaves are a tiny weed plant that has germinated on or very near your orchid. I have seen tons of them in pots in orchid nurseries. You can pluck it out. I don’t know angreacrums very well, but I would guess the knobby growths on the right are roots that have struggled to break through the plant’s axis- maybe starting and stopping growth to create that bulbous knobby appearance- but the rest of your roots have a kind of rough looking texture as well. So, maybe that’s normal. I am used to seeing smooth shiny roots on my orchids like the one you have on the left.

Again, I don’t know angreacums well, so hopefully someone with more experience with this type can help

I have absolutely no experience with these but I do have Google. In most of the photos the orchids have knobby roots similar to the ones on yours so maybe it’s normal? I agree with Jen about the tiny leaves. Looks suspiciously weedy to me. How long have you had it?

Yes, the knobby roots are very normal for this orchid. This the reason I’m not sure about the left and thought it might be a spike starting. I’m still looking but there’s lots of pictures of flowers and the plants but so far no new growth pictures. Lol, so l’m weeding the inside plants now, eh. 😂 I’ve had it about 3 months at this point.

Fun. You will have to post flower pics when it blooms!
