The leaves are all still firm and green, growing a new leaf. Blooms just fell off. Is something wrong with these roots. First time orchid owner. Help!

There are some patches of root burn on the roots, but that may just be from hard water (I get that from time to time on more delicate orchids.) Iâve read, that it could also be from excessive use of fertilizers. Otherwise, as long as the patches donât progress, or they start to sort of harden off, they are probably just fine. Iâd second all MeasomerPi said above as far as repotting if necessary.
2 gillningarI would also recommend cleaning the leaves! Just make sure not to put any water inside pseudobulbs or crowns! And just on the top not the bottom!

Thanks. Iâll have to do some research. Iâve been slathering both sides of the leaves. And I am stealing and using âsomething about somethingâ. I have a strong feeling it will come in very handy at the office. đ€
1 gillaShe recommends not cleaning the bottoms because thatâs where the stomata or âbreathing apparatusâ of orchid leaves are- and you can clog them inadvertently when you wipe them.
1 gillaI tried to look on videos I know sheâs said it multiple times but Iâve warched all her videos several times over⊠I was going to see if I could narrow it down⊠itâs either in orchid care for beginners or when she restores other peoples orchids! I will note when I was the bottom of Opheliaâs leaves it does seem to affect her⊠that being said you were part of my Ophelia post and she is my trooper xD
