The leaves are all still firm and green, growing a new leaf. Blooms just fell off. Is something wrong with these roots. First time orchid owner. Help!

There are some patches of root burn on the roots, but that may just be from hard water (I get that from time to time on more delicate orchids.) I’ve read, that it could also be from excessive use of fertilizers. Otherwise, as long as the patches don’t progress, or they start to sort of harden off, they are probably just fine. I’d second all MeasomerPi said above as far as repotting if necessary.

Why don’t you clean the bottom of the leaves?

Thanks. I’ll have to do some research. I’ve been slathering both sides of the leaves. And I am stealing and using “something about something”. I have a strong feeling it will come in very handy at the office. 🤞

좋아요 1개I tried to look on videos I know she’s said it multiple times but I’ve warched all her videos several times over… I was going to see if I could narrow it down… it’s either in orchid care for beginners or when she restores other peoples orchids! I will note when I was the bottom of Ophelia’s leaves it does seem to affect her… that being said you were part of my Ophelia post and she is my trooper xD
