Got a new flower spike coming in on one of my orchids!! Decided to try switching the other over to hydro since the aerial roots were out of control. Here’s hoping it takes to the transfer ok! 🤞

    Interesting. I’m new to learning orchids can grow in water. Are you soaking 2 days, then, drying 5 days or is it soaking full time?

      At this time I’m still experimenting. I learned about this method from Samantha at Houseplusplant on instagram. She just leaves a few inches of water in the bottom with just the tips of the roots submerged pretty much all the time so that’s how I have mine set up right now. I’m probably going to let the roots soak up the water and then let it dry out completely and refill when the roots start looking a little wrinkly since that’s what I was doing when it was in a pot and it seemed to like it.
