I just replanted my Orchid into a bigger pot a couple days ago and now it looks like it’s dying?? I water it once a week and it has sunlight. Any advice on what I might be doing wrong. When I replanted there looks to be a new sprout coming up also.

Is that orchid mix or regular potting soil?

It looks like it’s in a regular potting mix. It should be in orchis mix (bark/moss)

The shoot is prob a flower stalk (or just another root) but it will rot in a regular mix. Orchids are epiphytes in the wild and grow on branches of other trees.

Along with what the above posters have said (definitely get it out of regular potting mix). Orchids can also grow in water (google some tips) if you don’t have any orchid medium. Cut off any rotten roots and rinse off the dirt completely. I would also say that pot is WAY to big for the root system. You want something that will be 1-2” larger then the root ball.
