New growth on my orchid š„¹ā¤ļø
is this a phalaenopsis? iāve never seen one that frowns leaves on the flower stalk!

It might be! Planta says itās a moth orchid :)
0 Me gustaIt looks like a phalaenopsis, (aka moth orchid) and it seems to have grown a terminal flower spike. When they grow from the top like that, it damages the crown, and it canāt produce more leaves, which essentially means the end of growth for this plant. However, youāre in luck, and yours is growing a keiki! That is a baby plant that is basically a clone of your plant, and should grow pretty quickly. When it has enough roots to support it, you can separate it and plant it by itself
