I’ve heard some good intel on leaving your orchid in water, and changing the water 2x per week. Does anyone do this/recommend this? 🌷

What kind of orchid is it? If it’s a fairly common phalaenopsis, that would be a bad idea. Epiphytic roots need air just as much as they need water. If they stayed constantly wet, you’d smother them and they will rot. However, I have heard of some types of orchids, like vandas, transitioning to a water environment if you live in a VERY arid climate, almost dessert like.

Honestly I’m not too sure!! I’ll probably just keep it like it is for now, since it’s thriving!
