Is there any hope for this sad orchid? I have it in leca. It has no substantial roots except for this little nub. :(

    Poor bb🥲 I just submerged my orchid roots in water in a clear glass pot, seems to be doing a lot better since- I’d suggest maybe doing the same and letting the roots emerge in water

    I soaked it in water and managed to find this little possible root

      I chopped mine from the bottom with one root still there and it’s growing well!!

    It doesn’t look terribly dehydrated and orchids are very tough so I think there is hope. I would pot it a 50/50 sphagnum and bark mix. Maybe concentrate some of the sphagnum at the base of the plant so new roots can get access to moisture easily. I’d also use a clear orchid pot so I could keep an eye on what’s going on in the pot.

      That’s a great idea, thanks! I was thinking that the roots won’t get much moisture being in leca if they’re that short
