So I live in the nepa and when the smoke from the Canada fires covered the area I live for 2 days my orchid started to wilt I lost 1 flower already. I’ve been following the care instructions to a T and don’t know what’s wrong. The only thing that comes to mind is the air quality being over 500 for 2 days, could that have possibly affected my flower.

It could have. How long has it been in flower? Most phals stay in bloom for 2 or 3 months. It could be time for the flowers to fade.

since orchids are epiphytic it may have absorbed some contaminated moisture from the air. i’m not sure how you could fix it or how else it might affect it because this is a unique situation and orchids don’t usually deal with wildfires in their natural habitat. it looks like it will survive though, so worst case scenario you lost your flowers
