hi all! i’m pretty new to orchids and trying to revive this that got super dehydrated when my coworker was out suddenly for a few months. since i repotted a few months ago there’s a new leaf and some new baby roots that were coming in but they seem to have stopped growing. any idea what’s going on or how i can help it? i did treat with hydrogen peroxide for possible crown rot after the baby roots died. (added a pic at the end from when i started the rescue attempt so you can see the progress so far.) any advice would be much appreciated!

    It looks dehydrated to me. Leave should be firm and not wrinkled. Roots look pretty wrinkled too but it looks like most are alive. I would give it a little more water. It’s probably been set back so the next few leaves will be slightly smaller. It may not bloom for a year or so. But once It’s gathered it’s strength you’ll get another show. Good luck!

      tysm! i think you’re right and i’m gonna give her another few good soaks. when i first got her i did about a week of soaks 12 hrs on/12 hrs off. i even did a tea soak too and i was amazed when she started coming back to life at all! so resilient! i just wasn’t sure if i could expect her to recover fully?

    Orchids are very resilient. You probably have to deal with setback but she’ll be back to normal in a year or two
