I got my orchid around march 1st this year and it has been looking great. I just would like some tips and tricks if y’all have some, thanks! (Yes I know that my picture isn’t great).

    Nice looking setup! Phalaenopsis love water but want their roots to dry out. If you haven’t repotted your plant, I would do it after the last bloom drops. When repotting, inspect the roots. Healthy roots are firm and green when wet, silver when dry. They are very brittle so be gentle. Remove the old media and any dead roots. New media should be around 50/50 orchid bark and sphagnum. If you are heavier with the water, use less sphagnum. Each time I water my orchids, I add fertilizer at 1/4 strength and soak plants for 15 minutes. They take relatively low levels of light. Keep the out of direct light. If the plant start to redden, you know it’s in the max level of lighting. The best part of phals are they are very forgiving as long as the roots can dry out.
