Just picked up some new orchids yesterday! Anyone know if the care for Cattleya (undifferentiated; an established plant option on here) would be applicable to C. walkeriana (1st pic) and C. lab. rubra (2nd)? I've previously cared for a C. dowiana. Same for the third one: would Zygo maculatum (an established plant option on here) be a good enough approximation for my new Z. carolara? I've previously cared for a Z. triste. Would appreciate any insights y'all have!
Most cattleyas will take very similar care, so I would say yes, go with your experience with your previous cattleya to guide you. Same with your zygo. However- I don’t use this app for guidance on care/watering schedule as they aren’t as accurate as I’d like. Since you are already starting with some pretty wrinkly pseudobulbs, I’d focus on hydration and let the plants guide you. Planta IS however, a great way to keep track of the progress of growth, and this group in particular is a pretty great resource for guidance and advice.
