Hi friends. Do these leaves look yellow to you? I’m wondering if the cymbidiums need fertilizer or getting too much light. They’re under grow lights right now but I plan to take them outside when the weather starts to warm more. Bulbs are firm. They are not blooming this year because they are still recovering from very bad root rot last year (from being left outside in the cold winter rain).

좋아요 1개 Thank you. I didn’t know that yellow leaves were ok. I thought yellow leaves meant they were deficient in fertilizer
0개 좋아요Cymbidiums like lots of light, so that is ideal for the leaves. You can really keep giving them more light as long as they don't sunburn (which pretty much never happens indoors.) The leaves look super healthy. When you move them outdoors, keep in mind that these prefer cooler temperatures, especially in winter. They like to be around 50-57°F at night, and up to 75°F during the day. If they go over that, they may refuse to bloom.
좋아요 1개 It’s still around 40s F at night so I can’t take a them outdoors yet. They’ve been living in the garage near a southern window with supplemental light most of the winter. Hopefully they will bloom again when they get bigger
