Hi! I’ve been thinking about planting some orchids from seed, does anyone know what type of agar you need to have, also, does anyone have any beginner resources on growing orchids from seed

    There are very few beginner resources. It’s kind of an involved process where you need sterilized conditions and sealed flasks and stuff. Everything I’ve read made it seem like it would be dang near impossible outside of lab-like conditions.

      Then it seems it is time for extensive research on a topic I will almost certainly not use more than once, and far too much money on a plant that will never do anything for me besides be there, but what else are plant people to do?

      The YouTube channel Here… But Not has a tutorial on his process for growing from seed. I am sure there are more on there. If you do dive in, please post it. I am fascinated by growing from seed.
