Any advice on orchid care during the winter? The optimal light in my place is in front of window but unfortunately it gets quite cold in the winter. I want to make sure my orchids are getting enough light but staying warm too. Any advice is welcome!
Maybe an artificial light source would be helpful that way you could move the plants away from the window

Amy’s advice is great! Lights can be a game changer. How cold does your window get? Some orchids require a temperature drop of around 20 degrees F to stimulate blooming. I live in an area where temps don’t drop too often. But when expecting a significant cold snap, I will move my orchids to a warmer location for the duration. Typically they do not last more than a week.
1 me gustaIt’s gets significantly colder for a number of months. I was thinking it would be best to move them away from the window for those months and then use the grow lamp.
