Hello im new to owning orchid can someone tell me what’s happening to the leaf of my orchid all the other orchid leafs are fine just this one has these spots

    That's usually just the natural coloring of the leaf; some of the species involved in complex hybrids are spotted, like P. Schilleriana. Check for pests under the leaves though, just in case, since sometimes damage from leaf-sucking types can look similar

    Are these spots slightly indented or raised? Or are they smooth and sort of part of the leaf? Also, is this leaf one of the lower leaves or one of the fresher, newer leaves that have more recently grown out of the crown of the plant?

      Okay so they feel like the same texture as the rest of the leaf, it’s one of the lower leaves, I just found that the other lower leaf has some of the dots too and some white stuff

      This could be natural pigmentation then, but as Wasp said above, I would double check that you don’t have spider mites, which can cause grazing marks like these. To check for them, take a slightly dampened paper towel, or a fresh cotton disc- like the kind you’d use to remove make up or nail polish, and gently sweep it across the underside of these leaves. If you see sort of reddish/rust colored specks or streaks on the disc, you may have these pests. (Generally, you don’t want to mess with the undersides of orchid leaves too much since that’s where the stoma- sort of breathing mechanisms- of the plant are, and you don’t want to clog them. But there’s def more potential damage risk by letting pests go unchecked.

      Side note- have you recently changed this plant’s location- like, is it getting way more light than it used to? Also- pay attention to any progression over the next week. If it seems to stay the same, it may just be part of this orchid’s normal look. If it spreads, grows, or worsens, it’s probably an issue to address.

      I just got a grow light for it, thank you so much for the tips and I’ll look out for all of that
